So, let me share a story. Yesterday, I went to a piercing shop to get my earlobes pierced at age 33! Truth is, I was born with piercings (lol, just kidding!). But really, in Latinamerica as soon as a baby girl is born, she will leave the hospital with brand new earrings. I haven’t realized this before, until yesterday, when I talked to my piercer and he pointed out that “baby piercings” was a cultural thing. I asked: “so when is a good time for a baby to get a piercing?” to which he replied: “never!” And so, this is what happened to me. When I was born I got my earlobes pierced with a pistol and that is not how is supposed to be done, it should be done using a needle. It caused me a lifetime of pain, swelling, fever and basically, inability to wear earrings. It was only two months ago, persuaded by the “statements earrings trend,” that I decided to try and fix this problem with a plastic surgeon. To my surprise, I didn’t need surgery! Only two shots of steroids to make the inner scarring of the tissue disappear. My earlobes were feeling so bad that you could feel balls inside, that was the scarring. Finally, I got my earlobes pierced correctly and I am so happy! The only downside is that I have to wait about a year to change earrings…bummer!
Hello, is anybody there? This shoot makes me feel like Christmas in February with all of the beautiful lights. I went for a neutral look with a statement belt, which in my opinion, makes the outfit come together. A heavy knit and aviator jacket were extremely necessary since it has been super cold. I am wearing the Stuart Weitzman “all legs boots” which come higher than the highland. I find the “all legs” to be more flattering for my body type. These boots are very comfortable considering the heel height and I can easily wear them for 8 hours.
